All You Need to Know About Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing

In any organisation, its employees are the ones working in the front lines to bring in profits for the company. As employees are considered valuable assets to their organisations, it is important for employers to take note of their employees’ welfare at work.

Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Employee’s occupational health, safety and wellbeing are very important factors when determining employee satisfaction in the workplace. Especially for high-risk job positions in manual labour industries such as building and construction, workplace safety and wellbeing of workers should be of top priority to their companies.

Workplace Safety and Health Officers shoulder the responsibilities of implementing and monitoring workplace safety and health (WSH) management systems, and to ensure that workers are exposed to minimal risk during work. They are also responsible for drilling workplace safety awareness into workers by providing them with adequate safety knowledge and training. To qualify for a position in the field of Workplace Safety and Health, individuals are required to possess WSH-related qualifications.
